Working BeeSaturday 30th November Please make an effort to come along and lend a hand for a few hours. It's going to be a general tidy up day…A bit of painting, lawn mowing, weed killing etc. Nothing too stressful! The last few working bee's have had more bucket bikers attend than Karters and only 9 total at the last one…Let's turn the trend around! |

A few words from the PresidentHi all, Last month we had a great club day with nearly as many bikes as karts! Everyone enjoyed themselves and that showed with some great hard and respectful racing out on track from our Cadets through to the Seniors and Legends! We switch it up for November - giving you experience and the challenge of turning the track direction to anti-clockwise (reverse). As we head for the end of the year don't forget to keep your eyes upon what is in front of us - a Christmas Funday on Saturday 14th December to wind down from the year and celebrate those Annual Points, Enduro and Club Champions with their prizegivings. Early next year there is an early opportunity to learn from some of the best with a Kartsport Academy weekend in Manawatu on 11-12 Jan, our 1st club day the weekend after that to cement what you learnt, then onto the summer of racing around the country to take advantage of! Our works and committee teams are working hard with fence repairs, building a new 'yellow' fence, mowing, weed spraying, keeping the club karts ready, improvements to the tech shed, pit lighting and more! There is a lot being done behind the racing to keep your club functioning at the highest level, and we would appreciate some help with some of your spare time on those sorts of tasks. Get hold of any of the committee to discuss what you can do for the club - every bit will be appreciated! Our 2025 Calendar is out - there will be a poll for the members choice club day and spot what is happening in August…a night time club level meeting! Looking forward to seeing more of you next weekend for the November club day, and be ready to book in for the December Funday activities, prizegiving and dinner! Simon BC |
Track Rules Refresher!It's very important we ALL follow the track rules ALL of the time. For our own and others safety, and to make sure our club is running to a high standard. Here's a few key track rules below.

Tyre DisposalAs many of you will know, there is a new government scheme called Tyrewise. All tyres sold in NZ now carry a mandatory fee for tyre disposal which in turn should make it much easier for us all to dispose of our old tyres. However, seeing as Kartsport Wellington does not collect any of these fees, we have decided to implement a NO TYRE DUMPING rule for all tyres that usually get left in the rubbish bin shed. Most (if not all) car and kart tyre retailers will take your old tyres if you drop them off to them. |
2025 Calendar!We have a full on 2025 planned, with all the usual rounds plus a few exciting additions! We will be revising the enduro formats slightly to make it easier on solo drivers. And the big news is…..We are going night racing in August! Watch this space!
