From the President

Hi to you all, what a busy few months we've had and we are looking forward to some more exciting stuff later in the year!

First things first, we have our AGM on Wednesday the 16th at the Angus Inn Lower Hutt from 7:30pm. This is a great chance for you to voice how you'd like to see your club run and also put your hand up to help us out. Remember…This is YOUR club, so if there's something you'd like to suggest, or think you may be keen to join us for the ride, then come along! A small note to finish the AGM side of things, please limit alcohol consumption before the meeting as this is a formal meeting, save it for afterwards.

You may have noticed a rather large container in the pits, thanks to our grants man Scott, we have had this fully funded and is nearing the point where we can lease out kart sheds to those who may be space challenged. Get in quick as these are sure to be leased very soon.

A big congrats to Noah Ireland-Spicer, Emmerson Healey, Jack Strand, and Rhys Gaskin who all placed well in the recent WPKA series. And a special mention to Emmerson and Noah who won their respective classes and can now proudly display a GS plate when racing! I am looking forward to seeing those shiny new GS plates zooming around the best track in the country!

Lastly, our July club day is coming up on the 20th. We are running normal direction, however there is a club vote on the format! There is a link in the newsletter that you can follow which will take you to a form to fill out. Be sure to get in there and vote for your favourite format.

That's all from me, and I look forward to seeing you all in a few weeks at the AGM.

Cheers,

Simon BC

WPKA

Well done to Noah, Emmerson, Jack, and Rhys on your recent WPKA series results!

Working Bee

Please come along for only a few hours on Saturday 12th July for our Working Bee. This will be the last one before our inaugural Chronis Night Challenge, and we want to get the place looking perfect!

Jobs include:

  • Weed eating
  • Pit area tidy
  • Club room area tidy
  • Crash bag filling
  • Fence repairs

Many hands make light work as they say, so let's pitch in and get the place sparkling!

AGM

The AGM is on Wednesday 16th July from 7:30pm at the Angus Inn Lower Hutt.
Please make sure you validate your parking on arrival to avoid be ticketed!

Last Club Day

Last club day was a perfect day for racing, albeit a bit cold! Well done to our winners on the day, and to Ethan Sayer who took out the Bill Picard Memorial GP!

Chronis Night Challenge

The date for our inaugural Chronis Night Challenge is fast approaching!

We are really looking forward to seeing you there to celebrate our good mate Alex!

If you are not racing, we would love some extra volunteers to make the meeting a success. We will be on the lookout for a few extra hands in the kitchen, operating the flag lights, and general helpers due to the length of the meeting.

Keeping Legal…

As we head through winter, it's important to remember the rules around rear track width.

The rear tyres must ALWAYS be wider than the rear bumper.

And for those with adjustable bumpers…The minimum width of your bumper is 1340mm for Junior and Seniors, or 1040mm if you're in a 950 chassis.

Thanks to our

awesome sponsors!

See you at the race track soon!
